Juan Clemente Cigars

Introduced in 1982 by Jean Clement, distributor of fine spirits and long time cigar lover, Juan Clemente Cigars were well recepted by cigar smokers everywhere. Their reputation for quality combined with their unique packaging, having the band at the bottom of the cigar, helped these cigars catch on very quickly.

Then, during the cigar boom of the early 1990s things went downhill. The prime cigar distributor for the brand, Club Imports went through a downsizing period that kept them from promoting the brand.

All of this misfortune for the brand is truly sad, as these cigars are excellent. Today all Juan Clemente Cigars are made in a factory in Santiago, Domincan Republic using Connecticut wrappers and Domincan binder and filler.
