Could Fidel Castro's 47 year rule of Cuba be coming to an end? After going in for Intestinal Surgery Castro ceded his power to his brother, Raul. Raul has always been one of Fidel's most trusted advisors, acting as his First Vice President.
Now, as Cuban exiles in Miami celebrate the rest of the world is standing back, waiting to see what will happen. Some AM radio stations in Miami are more than ready to declare Castro dead and gone while the leaders of China, Venezuela, Brazil, Bolivia, and Mexico send their hopes of Castro's return to health.
Today many questions still go unanswered. Will Castro return to power? Will Raul maintain the hard party line? Will the US invade? Any and all are possible, only time will tell.
