Arturo Fuente Hemingway Masterpiece Review

by Matt Fraisse

Before lighting up this monster of a cigar, I had just finished playing golf at the Trump International Golf Course in Palos Verdes, Ca. It was a tough 18 to say the least. A friend and I decided to go grab some steaks and relax with some quality cigars.

We decided to reach for two of the Arturo Fuente Hemingway Masterpiece series. I have smoked a lot of Arturo Fuente cigars, but never the Hemingway Masterpiece.

First of all, smoking this cigar is a commitment. Not that I wasn’t expecting a long smoke, but after 2 hours I still had a few inches left. This fine cigar earns the name masterpice with it's great taste, especially during the second hour of the smoke. Very smooth, with a full, complex flavor.

This was a very well made cigar. It had a good, slow, and even burn. The draw was a little weak at the beginning, probably due to its length. To sum it up, this is a excellent tasting, long lasting cigar. I would definitely light up another one in the future. Well, as long as I have a few hours to spare.
